Woodwinds
After a decade of experience and touring internationally, Solomon has formed a method that allows him to speak the language of music in any genre, in any style with anybody and you can too!
Solomon Alber is a multi-instrumentalist and educator based in the East Bay Area, where he grew up immersed in the region’s vibrant music scene. As a high school student, he performed and toured with the Jazzschool Studio Band under Dave Eshelman. Solomon went on to study at Berklee College of Music, training with Ralph Peterson Jr., Tina Fuller, and Tiger Okoshi, before earning a Master of Music degree in Jazz Studies from Rutgers University. He actively performs on saxophone, clarinet, and flute, and is a vibrant contributor to the Bay Area’s jazz, funk, balkan, and klezmer music communities. Solomon founded Clef Winds Music Lessons as part of his vision of bringing the best music education to students from elementary school to high school and for adults in the East Bay Area. He enjoys teaching everything from instrumental technique to new ways of practicing improvisation. Solomon also enjoys exploring questions that have to do with music theory and how can we find our own beautiful sound on our instruments?
